Urgent Needs
We need more livestock!
Cows, goats, chickens, rabbits and many more!
Each animal represents one feeding program
The more the merrier!
It won't do to simply buy a school one single animal and think that the task is done. Livestock can vary in fitness, and so disease and lifespan can cause terminal problems to any feeding program.
Livestock animals are social animals and can often become "depressed" if reared on their own. This can be seen quite frequently in milk production in cows:
If a cow is left on its own, its milk production will decrease and can sometimes cease all together due to its poor mood as a result of its solitary confinement. Once company has been restored (in the form of another cow companion), it will often "cheer up" and its milk production will increase again.
Another obvious reason to purchase more livestock is to open the possibilities of allowing your animals to reproduce!
Increase the size of your herd and you can either produce more milk or have the option to use one individual from the herd for meat. Individuals from the herd could also be sold on the market, thus opening up more funds for other projects or to purchase fodder and treatment for the herd itself.
The World Food Program suggested this as a brilliant idea for our project
We need funds to build the Resource Center and acquire space for different activities for the Kids

Equipment for First Aid including bandages, antiseptic creams and ointments, painkillers, cortisone for allergies, etc.
Furniture
The essentials including desks, benches, chairs!
Plumbing and Electricity
The most important criteria for becoming an official school would be to have a fully working, safe building that can fully accommodate a fixed number of students. The priorities lie with proper sanitary facilities (notably toilets, but also wash basins and showers) and safe electrical cover for lighting.
We need to improve school teaching standards!
Help us run effective training courses fitting for official teaching certificate standard!
We need to have equipment and suitable facilities to run these courses and so many of the items listed above would also come into the "needed" criteria for teaching improvement.
Child Sponsorships
OSF EA would eventually like to develop a solid sponsorship program for children in greatest need. We will begin to advertise the need for sponsorship of children in greatest need of feeding programs at our informal schools and hope to eventually expand this and start supporting children in need of tuition fee funding so that they might actually attend school.
