Orphelins Sans Frontières East Africa

Combat poverty through education...

Help children in need....

Create income generating activities...

OSF EA (Orphelins Sans Frontieres East Africa) is an NGO working to help underprivileged children, youth and women.

Background

The NGO Orphelins Sans Frontières was initially created in France in 1994 following the Rwandan genocide.  In 2002, the East African section of Orphelins Sans Frontières opened in Nairobi under the French School. However, OSF East Africa was totally independent from OSF France. OSF is registered with the Kenyan authorities as a Kenyan NGO working in the field to help underprivileged children.

Since 2006, Alix d'Ansembourg took over the NGO, as the volunteer Director, and  broadened its field activities with the aim of making its actions more sustainable through the support of  informal schools  and  the creation of income  generating activities. OSF has an official Board of 3 people and funds from private and public donors.
